I recently made a guest appearance on The Brian Nichols Show with my pal and fellow podcaster Brian Nichols. An expert from this interview is a good summary of how my view of politics have changed over the last twenty months or so: I think that, in many ways,
"But now, after the last year, this isn't a game anymore. This is actually affecting everybody's life now. No one can really say they're not affected by this stuff at this point."
It was affecting your life before and you just didn't notice. We actually touched on this on your podcast years ago, I pointed out that most people lack the imagination to see how things might be and ought to be, ergo they aren't bothered by how they are. So, they don't care.
And most of these people who think they now care are only single-issue people, they STILL can't see the fundamental problems and how those really impact their lives and other people's lives. But, at least they have an example to draw a parallel to now, in case they really finally decide to wake the hell up, so that's nice.
