Back in February of last year, I posted my to-this-day-most-read article Gina Carano and the Pervasiveness of the Narrative. In that article, I described a couple of (non-political) podcast hosts (I do still listen, btw) who lambasted Gina Carano for having the gaul to compare the growing narrative surrounding COVID policies and the turning of neighbors against each other to the Holocaust.
She was subsequently let go from her contract with Disney and raked over the coals in the media, including by many “respectable” libertarians, who are always quick to chastise anyone falling too outside of the norms to receive regime acceptance.
“Godwin’s Law” was invoked by many to dismiss what anyone who understands history and the patterns of genocide was beginning to see. We were told you aren’t allowed to make “that” comparison, because it’s offensive, and we certainly wouldn’t want to offend anyone - not in the middle of a “pandemic!”
Well, just recently the country of Austria - which ironically was the host to a recent “Liberty” event - has announced it is instituting a lockdown only for the “unvaccinated” - a literal segregation of society based on who has accepted a biological “mark”, of sorts, and who hasn’t. This BBC headline is very, very real.
So I now must ask, 9 months later, are we allowed to compare this to the Holocaust yet? Heck, we’ve even got the geographical location down now!
The Holocaust didn’t begin with sending Jews to death camps. It began with segregating society into “clean” (non-Jewish) and “unclean” (Jewish) segments. It’s a pattern that has occurred throughout human history, and we are seeing it unfold in real time - only with the added fuel of social media and the ideological bubbles it propagates.
Maybe pointing this out makes me too “black pilled”, or maybe I’m just trying to point out the Tiger in the room.
I posted my very first post for paid subscribers only this past weekend. I’ll be doing this more often whenever I have commentary that is just a little too personal for public consumption.

Citing "Godwin's Law" has always been a Nazi tactic, akin to book burning (i.e. guilt-tripping critics into self-censoring). If you got tricked out of violating this "law" the joke's on you, you're part of the problem because the truth is that the totalitarianism has been here for a very long time, the recent covid hysteria is just another variant.
I can’t wait for Tiger King 2! Happy Monday Marc Davis!
